Beacons allow you to mark locations in the world and, crucially, can be displayed on the compass to make it easier to locate the target. Additionally, they can be installed on vehicles to keep track of them.
Solar Beacon[ | ]
A simple Solar Beacon does not need a power source as, well, solar. The beacon can be found under the Utilities build tab and takes up 1x1 grid space.
Once places hold C when in build mode and you will see a mini wheel menu. Clockwise you have Turn off/on: turns the beacon on and off Set to automatic/manual function Rename Block: allows you to name it Location on/off: this is important as when on the location will be displayed on your compass Change icon: This allows you to set a marker letter (A B C D etc.)
